I have dual boot with Vista Home 32bit and Vista Ultimate 64bit.
When in Vista 64bit, I can put the whole system in standby: monitor off, hardrives off and even all the fans are asleep.
But when in Home version 32bit, only the monitor will blank out. The tower is all lit up and the fans are running overnight in the bedroom.
It's not in the BIO since it's ok in the 64 bit mode.
Is there a service running somewhere which keeps the 32bit from going completely in full standby? The modem is shut off and the hibernate is disabled in both system.
