I have two computers on a LAN through a linksys router and both are on XP. I'd like to be able to share files in specific folders through both of them. Is there anyway to do this?

If referring to Windows XP Home,
You can take a look at:

I have Windows XP Pro (SP2) and I'm thinking of doing the same. I tried to do it couple of times, but I don't see my P4 on my Celeron computer, nor the Celeron on my P4. I want a way to eliminate the "sneakernet". Any suggestions? btw, I also got a Linksys Cable/DSL router.

First thing first. Disable simple file sharing. Go to any folder, then click on Tools, Folder Options, click on View tab, and uncheck the Simple sharing. That should at least help most of you. Disable the guest account and just use regular accounts with passwords. I managed 5 computers back home through a Linksys.

How do I disable the guest account? Also do I need to change all my current Windows XP passwords, just to enable file sharing on my computer?
What if I get two Networking cards for each PC and use my old (the only thing that was supposed to get me going on sharing my internet connection and files back then) 10BaseT 5-port hub? Do I need to make some configurations?

The guest account can be disabled under User Accounts in the Control Panel. It should be disabled by default but do check. No you don't need to change your current Windows XP passwords.
You just set different IPs for each network card on the computer. That can be done from the Properties of each network card. And actually Windows XP has DHCP capabilities through its 169.254 network. Just plug it all in and disable the firewalls. As long as everybody is getting an IP on the same network you should be good to go.

I also have this thought in mind, I want to know how can I share printers on each other's computer. My Pentium 4-based computer is on an Epson Stylus C64 printer and the Celeron is on the Canon BJC 250-lite printer. I want to know how can I send print jobs to the Canon printer on my Pentium 4 computer and/or the Epson print job on the Celeron computer. Any suggestions?

Assuming that your computers are already networked.
Just follow this:

And to use the network printer: Before you print, in the print dialogue box choose the network printer instead of the default printer that you use.
