Anybody hear anything about Canadian companies bringing the iPhone here to us? If any company would bring it first I would think Rogers would but I have not heard anything.

Thanks

I'm with AT&T (Cingular). I even looked at one last week when I was in the States. I just can't justify to spend that much money even if I put it on my business. I have no need to check e-mail with it. Also not willing to sign multi year contract to get it cheaper.

I'm happy with my Razr and my Ipod Mini.

Great link, Hopefully it will get to us sooner then later, Hopefully It wont cost to much (the plan with Data) Since I'm not really willing to pay more then I am already for my cell phone $61/month

But i'll have to look into it when we get it up here.

Thanks

Dude! $61 wtfludge

you goto Seneca still take advantage of corporate deals!

When I was there I got hooked up with a 3 year deal. Whenever I call their support or w/e the person says I have one of the best plans available. Take advantage while your @ school. No reason why you should be paying that much. my bills don't surpass $45 and I basically have unlimited everything (cept browsing).... what makes your bill so huge?

Whats your plan like? How many Mins do you have etc?

My bill after Tax etc is about $61 because its the old City Fido. So its Unlimited 24/7 in toronto/GTA and a bit farther I have a picture of the coverage at home, pretty big.

Let the list begin :P

300 Anytime minutes
1000 minutes Rogers to Rogers (95% of the people i talk to have rogers so I barely touch that 300 AM)
Free early evenings and weekends
150 Sending txt msgs and pic msgs
Unlimited receiving
call waiting/forwarding/display
voice mail

$40~/month (and I never go over)

This was a Seneca plan that I jumped on just before I graduated. If you are interested I have their brochure @ home and can hook you up. In my view thats a plan I do not plan to let go for a while. Unless I get a corporate plan with a employer in the future.

Pretty good.

I'm happy with mine and dont plan on getting rid of it either. Unlimited 24/7 in a big area over the gta. Some months I do in and around 1200mins bu usually in the 800min range so I dont want to have to worry about getting some huge bill at the end of the month.

Found the picture of my calling zone.

That is pretty good, but I still think your paying too much for that. On average who do you call? Like what providers, and when do you use the most minutes?

Providers probably random. Mostly probably fido/rogers but I do call some people from bell/telus etc

Mins I use all day long pretty much for clients etc, but most are in the afternoon.

As far as I have heard it will be sometime in the next 2-3 months. Correct it will only be ROGERS who will carry it. The bad part about it, it's currently only GPRS and doesn't have something like edge.

I had a chance to play with one this weekend while I was waiting to get checked into the Hotel and the guy next to me had one. It's soooooooooooo slick. Very nice GUI. This is one hot phone. But I may wait until version 2 comes out.

I've had the chance to use an iphone for a day while I poked around Chicago.

I think that the iphone has the best user interface that I've ever used. It's clean, quick, and works really really well.

I'm a phone geek. I was one of the first people to have a blackberry and have upgraded just about every time there has been a major revision.

However, once you get over the eye candy, you have to consider what you're really using a phone for. I use mine to make phone calls and send / receive e-mail while away from my desk and occasionally use the Internet to look up a phone number.

The iphone will do these things, but not nearly as well as my Blackberry.

If I was just an occasional mobile phone user, I might go for the iphone. But since I use the phone a lot, I'll stick with the blackberries.

I think that things will remain as they are. Business folks will go with the blackberry and residential folks will go with something else. If they're into having the cool phone, they'll go with the iphone.
