I was in the market for new sheets and decided to check out Costco. Their house brand (Kirkland) 500 thread count pima cotton sheets are fantastic. The queen fitted sheet is really a queen, there's lots of sheet to wrap around the mattress so no "self untucking" to deal with. They're about $80 which for that quality is a pretty good deal.

Kirkland scores well on a number of consumer tests. On one show I was watching the Kirkland batteries outperformed the brand names. I've been using them and am quite impressed.

Kirkland batteries (AAs) are/were Duracells. One of the news shows tested batteries, and under the Kirkland label was Duracell. We have bought linens there and also found them to be of top quality and reasonably priced. For my money the Kirkland paper towels are the best out there. Using their dog food also.

Agreed, their paper towels are the best. I didn't know the Kirkland batteries were duracell. Excellent. I usually buy them regardless because they're such a good deal.

Kirkland is as good as Bounty? Now that's a towel well worth it's money, esp when they are on sale.

Zeller's have a sale on 300 count.

The queen is just under $50.

Gonna check them out myself.

I bought some sheets at Zellers a couple of years ago (I think they were 400 thread count), and they didn't last very long :(

I might do better.

My rough-house days are behind me.

My rough-house days are behind me.

Just washing and sleeping will wear through lower quality sheets. My last set, 500 count percale from Beddingtons, lasted about five years.

The problem with synthetic content in sheets is that it tends to pill over time. You're better to buy one good set that you really like.
