Toronto Islands this weekend, lots of good Bands, lots of Variety. Link for this event is http://www.wakestock.com . Just Hope the weekend improves weather wise. Some Local bands worth looking for at this weekends Wakestock, Machete Avenue, Protest the Hero, The Saint Alvia Cartel, die mannequin plus a few others I don't recall off hand. Worth looking at the Indie Stage as well as the main stage for a good weekend.

Great time tonight, caught some very great performances, two more days of music and fun. Wasn't sure if I was going today, last minute decision, great time.

Last Day of Wakestock, if you have no plans for the day and you are in or around the Toronto Area this is worth going to. Has been a great weekend so far and just about to get ready to head over to the island to catch the last of the bands and some wakeboarding events. The Deftones just blew the place away last night with their performances as did many of the other bands. Tickets for today are just over $30.00 each.

The last day of Wakestock was great. Getting over there was more of an issue then any of the other days. They had the Brazilian festival on the Island yesterday also. Story of the Year the last act of the weekend put on a stunning show. ill Scarlet a band from Streetsville was a band I had been looking forward to see, had heard some good things about them. Well over the whole weekend it was the only band I thought there show was not very well done (Thats as nicely as I can say it lol).

Machete Avenue from London Ontario yesterday put on a great show as did Rapper Lupe Fiasco. Also saw some awesome performances by the wakeboarders, it is a very cool sport. Picked up some CD's and other swag while I was there and got some killer deals. Also lots of free poster and CD samplers from indie bands. Overall a great 10th anniversary weekend. One of the Best performances was Protest the Hero on the indie Stage over the weekend, Great hard rocking Toronto Band live. Picture of the Ferry Dock to the Islands.
