Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366551/) - This movie is soo funny

Shaun of the dead (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365748/) - One of my favorites

Final Destination (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0195714/) - I'm not a big fan of action or suspense movies but this one I liked a lot

Have seen all of the above, except Sin City. And it doesn't interest me at all. But every other movie listed stunk IMO. Watched 5 Days 'till midnight last weekend, at it was ok. Very long mind you.

If you dont mind watching animated movies, one old one I watched alot as a kid was Watership Down (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078480/). its old, but is a recent DVD release.

I also enjoyed watching A Day Without A Mexican (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377744/). It may not be your thing, but its somewhat comedic, as well as having a morale message. I believe it was a straight to video release, or maybe I just never saw advertising for it if it did come out in theatres (and perhaps limited, if it did.)

Mysterious Skin (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0370986) Probably one of the most disturbing film I've seen in a while. Similar to Requiem for a Dream except its about sexual abuse. The long haired kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun is all grown up and has turned into quite a fine actor. *Warning extremely graphic and sickening scenes therefore its a 19+ and over film*

Crash (2004) (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0375679) Great ensemble cast and written/directed by Paul Haggis from Windsor.

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story! (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0385690) Leaked dvd-rip has been out for quite some time. Very funny

Empire of the Sun (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0092965) A very young Christian Bale film. A Spielberg film most people have never heard of.

Born Into Brothels (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0388789) A very depressing yet uplifting documentary.

Millions (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0366777) A great British film by Danny Boyle

The Downfall (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0363163) A stunning film about Adolf Hitler

The Last Casino (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0419909) Great Canuck film. I think TMN made the film.

Saints and Soldiers (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0373283) Not bad war movie made by a mormon

The Woodsman (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0361127) Kevin Bacon's best movie ever and he gets snubbed for all the awards. He plays a recovering pedophile. Mos Def is great in this as well.
