Hi folks. Drawing a blank here. Until a couple days ago I could post on TCM using FF 1.06 with no problems. Now, the area to 'quick post' is greyed out. Can't be done. So in order to post, I have to use IE.. (Arghh). :) I don't recall changing anything, and even uninstalling FF and reinstalling didn't help. Any ideas why I can't post with FF?

I have one thought on this and it happens once in a while with me.
checked to see if you still logged in with your ff. sometimes I can
post with ie but not ff till I notice ff is not logged in.
hope this helps.

Same occassional challenge here with FF 1.0.6
I simply go to POST REPLY or QUOTE instead and all works fine. LOL, right now I'm using QUICK REPLY, but that is not always available.

Thanks Ken and Bogie, but no Ken, whether I am logged in when I come to the site, or whether I log out and log back in.. same thing, can't post. And Bogie, I can't post no matter what I use. Only thing that I can post in with FF is the Swap shop.. that it just fine. But the rest, no matter what I do, is unavailable. :( Any other ideas? I hate having to use IE to post on this site.

Have you tried changing themes?
Whenever I find a problem I always try other themes first... if it does it in all themes, then we know it's not a board issue ;)
happens to me too, refresh the window and it should fix itself or google up "firefox speed hack" and change some of the settings in about:config to fix it, cuz thats what i did

Yeah Dr. Dan I figured it was a theme issue also, but have tried a few, and it is the same result. :(
LSV. Refreshing doesn't help. I have no idea what happened, but I have googled 'firefox speed hack', and it listed alot of usefull info. Will try it out tomorrow. Thanks guys. :)
well sometimes that happens to me but i just refresh and it's a-ok, tcm has a very advanced posting method where the data in the textbox can be made into a dynamic hyperlink or bold on spot etc... not like other boards where they use board code

well I havent had that problem in FF yet though i have noticed that FF will stop responding after a while of using it and when i close it, and restart it it asks for a profile choice (netscrap 6+ users know what i mean). I have to goto taskman and remove firefox.exe which is still in memory manually, inorder to restart ff and get it working as normal (and NO profile box).
anyone else had this issue? I am some what annoyed about it.

Having a posting issue with FF 1.0.6. "message too short error"? Attached a screen shot (FF wouldn't let me attach the screenshot either, now working in IE)

Well when you quote somebody, the vBulletin software doesn't count what's within the quotes tag. Hardly FF's fault.
Secondly, I can't help you with the image attachment problem because I haven't encountered it.

I apologize profusely for not knowing the intricacies of vBulletin. The attach issue shall remain a mystery.

I found something new. Press the button next to the "Quote" to enable quick reply.

As far as the attachment thing goes, I'm assuming it's a java script thing. Have you updated Java? Make sure Java and Java script are enabled in the web feature section of Tools>Options screen.

Well, it remains a mystery.. posts just fine using the same browser version as of 2 days ago. I didn't change anything, and IE worked the whole time. So beats the heck out of me. :) Thanks.
