Nice to see David Lee Roth and Eddie back together. They were the true essence of Van Halen. The original band kicked ass when they were together, and when Sammy Hagar joined, their music became tame and syrupy by comparison.

The very first Van Halen album is a rock classic (imo).

With Micheal Anthony, being replaced by Wolfgang Van Halen, I wonder what the backup vocals will be like?

It would be better if they had put an album out together in lets say the last 2 decades and it was actually good. They may put out a killer album but they have done nothing as the original group in 22 years. Next supposed due date for a new album sometime in 2008, why not wait and tour then? Appears more a money grab then anything else.

That's what totally sucks about the whole thing... Wolfgang who??? "My Daddy owns the band so therefore I get to play" as opposed to the mainstay bass player of all those years.

The only reason M.A. isn't playing and/or wasn't invited, is his friendship with Sammy Hagar (personally, a far, far better vocalist than Roth).

That being said, Anthony and Hagar are touring as "The Other Half" and good for them. I'll pay to see them over Eddie any day!
