is it worth getting and installing?

if your happy with xp then i would say stay with it. no need to upgrade if you dont really need it or feel the need to upgrade.

I tried it on a laptop a friend bought and it's nice but I don't know if it's worth the money.

I got mine as a free upgrade when I bought my last PC. Eventually I installed it and it's ok. I got some issues with older software.

As said if your happy with XP and it isn't holding you back, stay with it.
