If I don't have Windows Word installed on my computer; can I still receive documents sent to me by someone using Word?

You can recieve Word documents and Microsoft has a free viewer so that you can read them.

I thought I would mention this viewer doesn't seem to be compatible
with windows 98se

Abiword is free, open source.
It's also less than 5 Mb. download
