Can't enable system restore in ME. Each time I untick the disable system restore and apply then close - I go back in and it is ticked again. Can anyone help?????

Repair System Restore

- Click Start. Open My Computer.
- Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab.
- Under the Hidden files and folders heading select "Show hidden files and folders".
- Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" option.
- Uncheck the "Hide file extensions for known file types" option.
- Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.

- Click Start. Open My Computer.
- Click your C drive, then click Windows folder
- Click on inf folder
- Scroll down to sr.inf
- Right click sr.inf and click Install
