I'm looking to get a mass music player like an iPod mini,
but someone told me that Zen Micro's are cheaper and have a larger volume.
does anyone have personal experience with either of these devices?
And which one would be worth my dollar?
Input much appreciated :)

I actually bought an Entempo Spirit from TigerDirect 2 weeks ago for $130. It has 20GB storage, can also be used as an external HD and has an FM radio as well. Can't go wrong with the price and the size. :) All my MP3 are on it.
The iPod is overrated, if you like the features and don't mind paying for it, it's fine but most people just buy an iPod because they give into the hype. I would also recommend you get an extended warrenty on the iPod, they tend to break down easily. My friend bought an BenQ Joybee a year ago and he's very happy with it but it does use only flash memory and it runs on batteries.

So NightWolf what are you going with? Ive decided Zen Micro.
Does any one know where I can get a Zen Micro 4GB in Toronto, or an online store with PayPal?

Just a small addition to this. I just got myself a ZM this weekend. Over all the little I played with it I like. There are few little things which I wish could have been different. One is the option to drag and drop files(becomes another drive) but it doesn't and you have to use some sort of application to upload the files to it.
FM Radio isn't the best in the world, has to have a strong signal before it picks it up. Example. I live in Brampton and couldn't pickup JackFM 92.5.
Would have been nice to have the Mic with a external mic option. the built in one is pretty good, but not great if your more then 4 ft away.
The touch pad takes a little while to get used it. It's really touchy. Even with it's set to LOW sensitive.

For those who have a Zen. I just put up instructions on how to quickly sync your ZM with iPodder for podcasts.

I just bought a Zen Micro a couple weeks ago and it's great.
My choice was Ipod. I just bought a little gadget on the weekend that allows me to play my ipod through my car or home stereo. It works really well :)
ipods aren't hype, they're just a product with a lot of options and features for those who will pay for it. Sure I'd like to see it cheaper. :)
Nothing wrong with the other cheaper ones.
But I don't regret my 40 gig ipod for a second. Lots of add on toys to add all kinds of features.

Well today I went out and bought a 60 gig Ipod and I LOVE it, the sound is fantastic and the songs uploaded to the pod way faster then I thought they would considering I had 3 gigs worth. Still getting used to the touch pad for scrolling though and I really am not crazy about the earphones but all in all I just love it, happy happy :)
