for me I find this vista program a pain in the backside,keeps popping up that these programs are not yet classified or permitted,I want to turn defender off but it's not in the add remove program any ideas how to remove it?

That's not Defender...it's the UAC feature in Vista which protects the system from having virus like programs to start on their own.

glitch ,it shows up as windows defender when it won't start the programs and says not yet classified
