dual boot

I have a new comp with vista preloaded. what do I have to do to partition the drive so I can install xp pro as well? do I have to reformat the drive?

it's free all you have to do sign up to get a registration key. Use it to partition your current HD. You might need to format the new partition.

You should be able to install XP on the new partition.

You might need vistabootpro afterwards to fix the boot configuration.
