MSInfo32.exe not working

When i try to run the Msinfo32,exe tool the help and support centre opens instead, any idea on how to fix this ?

You can also do this with or without that particular index.dat file in place.

Make a new text document and change the extension to .nfo and then double click on it. (It may take a moment to open the first time.)

You might see a System Information Popup saying "System Information cannot open this NFO file. It might be corrupted or an unrecognized version."

Just click OK and your System Information will appear.
