I recently bought a juicer while i was in the Us, and this thing is awesome. I just made an apple-celery-one whole raw beet juice and it tasted friggin' amazing. Should have got it sooner.
Do you guys eat the fiber too? I took a little out and mixed it with the juice. It seemed like a waste to through it away and i've read that fruit fiber is nutritious also.

Use it in cakes, breads, muffins, etc. I think it can also be frozen.
Some people will add it in layers to lasagna, but I'm not telling who. :)

Which juicer did you get, glitch?
I've looked at them but some apparently are killer to clean.

You could simplify things with two plastic grocery bags and a 5 lb. sledge. :)

The fiber is probbaly the healthiest part of the fruit/vegetable.
I bought a juicer a few years ago but took it back. It took a ton of fruit just to get one glass of juice and it was so noisy.

I would love to get a juicer but the cost of fruit and veggies and the amount you need is what stops me =\
The coffee shop down from my office has a juicer. They have some unique blends of stuff there. I like it a lot.
But I don't think I'd own one. I hardly have enough patients to make coffee in the morning let alone juice.

i use one almost every day. mostly veggies like beet, carrot, peppers and celery. I try to buy them on sale or check the racks most grocery stores put out with stuff past prime. A old toothbrush is the easiest way I found to clean the cutter/strainer.

Debbie, I got this one:

I read a bunch of reviews and the price seemed right so I said what the heck.
Relatively easy to clean. They also include a brush to clean the filter/cutter part.
I've been juicing beets with apples and celery quite a lot. Very invigorating. I usually juice beets every other day since I've read that the thing is highly concentrated with the good stuff.
I also eat the fiber.

The bride tells me you could use it in soup.....

And Scott is right, visiting the day old section of the veggie dept will help keep costs down.
You guys have made it sound really good!
And if guys are doing it, it must be really, really low maintenance. :d ;)
Hey Deb,
Ya, we juice on a regular basis.
Use the Jack LaLanne power juicer.
Not sure what my wife does with the pulp!????
Everyone in the family enjoys it.
Cheers
