I just played it and got my butt kicked but it was fun. Still has the AoE feel but its different enough that is seems fresh.

The game isn't that tough, it's quite slow.

cool thanks for link!!
Started playing this a couple nights ago. I loved AoE2 and this is also a welcome sequel. I've played a few skirmishes, and haven't done any scenarios. Very fun and addicting game.

I've always been a big RTS fan, even if I can never master them. It upsets me though that I cannot find a Collector's Edition for this game, by the time I realized this game was coming out (it was already out, doh!), it was too late. So I will probably this one out for later.
anyways, the new Star Wars:Empire At War RTS looks like it might be decent, and not the AOE2 mod the previous SW RTS was.

I completed the single-player campaign over the last weekend.
While still fun to play, I find absence of advanced unit movement/behaviour control very irritating. I mean, trying to control or put together 3 or more armies tends to be rather chaotic if you're not able to issue simple cammands like stand-ground, defend-only, do-not-persue-enemy, etc. Hell, even Warcraft1 had those if I recall correctly.

Yeah i'll never understand why game creators take away key features like stop or defend area. oh well....

Great visuals, if you have a decent video card, and good story & game play ,I enjoyed it.
Civ 4 is on my list!!

know by chance if they ship to US? when asked for shipping address, it only looks like it ships inside Canada, as its only asking for Provinces, and not country or state

Bad game.
looks good but shouldn't stutter newer video cards like it does.
your ai is dumber then a post and has anoying habit of running around and attacking buildings instead of the bad guys killing them.
nothing new in this game type just more of the same old stuff which now tired.
After some patching it may be decent but tell then it makes video cards stutter more then doom or fear.
