I'm thinking in person, you aren't as heartless an SOB this post makes you out to be.

That was pretty cold Walter.

I don't understand that assessment......was the making of Schinlder's List cold and uncaring. Was the making of Tobacco Road cold and heartless?

Is it the method of presenting the story the problem?

Not if it's done like the Titanic with Leo & Kate. Thousands could drown but as long as Celine sings.........

I read an excellent editorial piece by Andrew Coyne in yesterday's National Post. Probably one of the most balanced pieces I've read since Katrina happened. I was surprised at his balanced remarks seeing as how he's a hard rightwinger.

Unfortunately, I can't post it here since you have to pay to get the "electronic version" of the paper :(

I arrived in Houston today. My hotel is full of survivors being lodged by their insurance companies. It's one thing to see the devastation on TV, but to sit there and hear it from those people... It's a different dimension.
