I'm wondering if i should get rogers extreme or express?

Extreme is at 5mbps and express is 3mbps....i used to have rogers
hi-speed from 2002-2005 but don't know what it was called. I don't think
they had a specific name....the extreme and express name is a new thing that started last october i believe....

is express good enough or should i get the extreme?

Depends on your needs and your budget, with extreme you have to buy the modem which is $100 or pay an extra $3 per month for $49.95/ month

Express $44.95/ month modem included

What you had before (HighSpeed) is what is now called Express.
If you were happy with it then stick with it...

If you do a ton of downloading, you might want to go with Extreme... you have a 100 GB cap, where with Express you only (ONLY?!?) have a 60 GB cap.

cool...thanks i needed to know that. I've been pleased with my previous internet so now that it has been changed to the name "express" i'll just stick with express.

60gb/month is enough for me and im glad that the modem is included in the cost for express....

I'm looking for an alternative to rodgers, always looking to save a buck. Is there anything out there worth trying.

Go with DSL. You'll save $15+ monthly with DSL. VIF offers the 5Mbit for $29.95. All you need to do is get the modem.

Call Rogers and tell them you want to upgrade to the 6MB 100 GIG cap, that's what I did a couple of days ago :)

They offer 5mbit service if your line supports it. Just call them and ask. They stopped advertising 5mbit because a lot of people were complaining when they were only getting 3mbit because they were too far away from the CO.

If your line can support it, you will get the 5mbit for $29.95. Just call them and get details.

I believe they have changed the program for extreme now , where they actually supply the modem (like before - rent)..
You are not required to purchase it anymore.
