View Full Version : My Step Father Passed away last night

Yesterday was a fine day for Deb and I , we went to the lake for Ribfest.
When we got home there was a message from my older sister Deb to get over to my Mom's house.
When we got there we saw Ambulance and police cars.
My Step father had passed away in the house , he was 72 years old.
A lot of Sadness and comforting , my step father was a ill man but still this was un expected as most deaths are.
Teacher for Bowmanville High school and before that Eastdale he touched many lives.
Frank Rudolph Varga , a strong man that added many attributes to my life.
Rest in peace and watch over the family ...

My Step Father shared a lot of lessons with us , one is that no matter comes your way you stay strong and move forward.
He would use his scooter to go and play euchure each week , the week before he died he won over $ 200 and then had a great time at the trailer with his family. I have attached a few pictures he was getting older and sicker but we never let that exclude him form any event , my mom cared for him but he still went on like all was well.

I had Mr. Varga for a tech teacher at BHS! He was a good teacher, laid down the law and kept the riff-raff in check. Took 3 classes from him, still have the tackhammer I made in grade 10! My condolences, he was a great man and very well educated too (had quite a few initials after his name, but that may have been just one of his many stories! ;)).
