Good Morning: During Shut Down I get this End Program error message:

Can you tell me what this is and how to fix it? C :)

Are you developing anything?

Thanks for responding to my cry for Help! Probably not programming anything that I know of as I am just a user - don't write programs if that's what you mean. The message just appeared a couple of weeks ago and won't go away. Of course, I could have done something and not realized it!?!

Then you are probably using a software where the developer did not follow the correct rules as specified in the URL I gave above. The said rule is about how to clean itself up when terminating (i.e. when you exit the software) so it looks like that software isn't cleaning up all the windows properly hence leaving one behind.

You'd have to go by trial-and-error to find out which software is doing this..

Sorry about that, I didn't even check the URL as I just assumed it was to your web site. My inexperience with using this forum is showing - oop's. Thank you for redirecting me to it and taking the time to share more explanation. Turns out I too have the HP printer many refer to in the blog. So, I'll try removing the "HP crap" from my StartUp tab. Only thing I didn't see resolved on the blog was a question asking if all HP files can be removed from StartUp? I'm also wondering: If I remove HP from the start up how do I access all the features/apps when I want to scan, HP director, etc. Just by going thru Programs!?!

Thanks again for your help. C :)
