Is this allowed & if so, are there any steps that need to be taken?
The phone in question is a Nokia 2610 which they sent to me for free as the old one didn't work with the new network.

I have never put any time on it as I am with Telus.

Thanks in advance.

I've sold my old cell phone and pagers before. Pretty much all you do is call the company who your with and get them to change the name over and the billing over. The other person your selling to will also have to talk to the copany so they can get his/her information.

Simply remove the sim card and sell it. If you sell with the sim card, then let Rogers know.

Should have no problem with it.
I recently sold an old Rogers phone to a co-worker who wanted something his aged father could use so he could keep in touch with him.
All he had to do was buy a new sim card & activate it. I'm not sure if he went pay as you go or on a plan. Eithert way shouldn't be a problem.

What would be a fair price for the Nokia 2610, brand new and never used? I will include the phone, the charging cable & booklets that I received with it.
$80 seem reasonable?

To high, its an outdated phone that you cant even buy from Rogers anymore with no camera,no bluetooth. Ther are some on Ebay with sim cards for around $50 and have no bids. Honestly I think you would be lucky to get $40 for it.

They just gave it to me last year, for free, as my old one wouldn't work on the new network.

Cell phone models seem to changes faster than computer parts.
