so I decided to install ubuntu studio all has gone well so far.
one problem I seem to be having in KDE I can't find
the place to adjust the screen resolution. I did a google
search and cam up with a component missing.

I installed "guidance" as instructed but I can't find it and am still
unable to adjust the screen resolution.
I am really looking for a gui solution to this.

maybe it would help if I post my xorg.conf contents

~SOLVED~

achieved my desire resolution by using this command.

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

not without problems I tell ya.
upon restarting xserver it simply wouldn't run.
on my third try with reconfiguring all came out good.
I still have no way to adjust the screen but its now set
to 1024x768 75hz. witch is were I wanted it.

thanks to all who read my post.
