some times when installing a program or something you might recive this error
16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows apps. Choose close to terminate the app.
to fix this you can go to
C:\WINDOWS\Repair\ and copy the Autoexec.nt file to the C:\WINDOWS\System32\
other fixes
The easiest is simply inserting the Windows XP CD into the CD Drive and clicking start --> Run and entering:
expand X:\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt
Replace X:\ with your CD Rom Drive letter.
