Hey all,

I have been using ez cd creator for a long time and am just learning how to use nero. In ez cd creator, there is an option to just drag and drop files onto a cd-rw, but the disc had to be formatted to do this. Is there a similar way to do this in nero?

Thanks.

Nero uses a program called InCD to do that. It's called packet writing . There are/were? a couple of variants of packet writing specs. Nero Ultra has that option. Good little set of apps.

This isn't a reply really - more of a question.

Just wondering if anyone would know what causes my computer to reboot (win xp pro) when trying to copy a CD using NERO (OEM) that came with my computer. I have no problem burning ordinary CD's or DVD's or copying a CD by first dragging all the info to my hard drive.

Have a LG DVD rom - 52 x 32 x 52 CD burner and and Plextor DVD burner.

The system is still fairly new, and i'm still learning the differences between Roxio and Nero (aside from not being able to do a direct copy, I must prefer Nero) so might there be something in the way that i'm trying to do this that is causing the problem?

thanks in advance for your help!

Did you remove EZ CD Creator before installing Nero?
I have seen problems occur when the two are on the same system.

Never had Roxio on this computer - just the Nero.

If i format this disc using InCD will i be able to use it on other computers that do not have this program? The reason i am asking is because when i used the directcd program by adaptec and took it to school, i couldnt read it because there needed to be some file on the computer which it can install from the disc, but since i did not have access to installing stuff on the computer, i had to get IT to install it for me. Does this happen when using InCD?

That was one of the biggest faults of EzCd.... you could only use the disk allot of the time on another computer with EzCd...

Nero doesn't have that issue :D
Although, InCD itself does have issues on some systems... if you start having problems burning disks properly, you may have to uninstall InCD... :(

when you eject a InCD disk it will make it readable by most operating systems. Nero also has a free program on its site you can download if your OS cant read the disk (actually the free one from roxio also works )

Hey everyone,

I tried to open the cd on the win98 comp this morning and all that came up was a html file telling me to download a reader. Too bad the computer had no internet connection...i will try it again after downloading the program....
