I found this delicious glaze/marinade recipe over at Oprah's website. It belongs to her chef, Art Smith.
I've tried a variety of homemade Asian marinades, but this one top's all that have come before it.
The recipe calls for chopping and mincing and instead I just threw everything into my hand blender container and it was done. I also love ginger, so added more. Marinade time = the longer the better.
This recipe is enough for 6 - 7 boneless pork rib chops (Family Pack) or 2 - 3 chicken breasts.
Line your baking pan with tin foil because sugar can burn easily.

Asian Glaze
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon peeled and minced fresh ginger
2 teaspoons dark Asian sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed through a press
1/4 teaspoon crushed hot red pepper flakes
Delish! :)
