CDA to MP3?

Just got an MP3 player and trying to load some of my CD's into computer and then download on the MP3 player.
But CD's are in CDA format.
Are there any conversion (free preferably) tools or other methods?

There's no such thing as a CDA file. What you see is just a representation of a CD track and Windows makes it look like it's a file. But it's not. You'll need a CD ripper to get the tunes out in MP3 format.

I use a program called CDex to rip the cd's into mp3 format

I use real player for that. It works well and is free.
