Is there any problems with rogers? please read

When I do a tracert to yahoo the hops are very slow. Can everyone on rogers do the same tracert, and post it. Thank you all.

Well I call up Rogers about the problem. I they did the same old song, and dance saying it's file sharing that's making it that slow. Then they told me to pull down my firewall, and put myself out side my router. I told them at that point I've pluged myself stright into the cable modem. Still getting the same results. Then he tells me to hold on he has to go check something. As I was wait I was doing a tracert one after the other, and it got better. So it was something wrong on there side, and not the so called file sharing.

Rogers has been slow (0.5 Mbps instead of usual 1.5) or worse for the last 12 hours. I am in the Willowdale area. I can run a tracert in the DOS window, but how do I capture the results?

Just click and drag your mouse over the text you want to copy
Then click in the upper left corner and you'll get a menu... select edit then copy.

Just highlight the text you want, then right click, paste into the reply window.

Can you do that in DOS prompt in XP Sybil? You can't right click/copy in W2k

Yes, but sorry - missed a step. After highlighting, right click - you won't get a context menu, but the highlighting disappears. Then right click, paste.

Why do the connections always time out between Rogers and Yahoo servers?

Some servers are set to ignor ping and tracert requests... therefore you see a 'Request timed out'
