Kids always getting spyware, viruses?
Free beta from Microsoft, Similar to Deep Freeze.

" one exciting use for the tools is to restrict the actions of children on family computers."

Windows Disk Protection can prevent children from installing spyware or malware (whether the installation is accidental or intentional) or other unapproved programs.

You can use the tool to help safely test software. When enabled and left in its default mode, the tool does not allow changes to be permanently made to the Windows partition.

If it works as good as DeepFreeze, this will be a one helluva tool.

Funny, Microsoft recommends Deep Freeze for non XP systems:

Q: What should I do if have computers that run legacy versions of Windows?

A number of companies sell products similar to the toolkit that work with legacy versions of Windows. Faronics is one such company that Microsoft recommends because it has products for restricting users (Anti-Executable and WINSelect), as well as a product for protecting the hard drive (Deep Freeze). You can learn more about Faronics products at www.faronics.com.

I run 98 so can't give the beta a try.
