I came across this today and was very impressed. I have been looking at FALCON Crest notebooks, and if AMD can continue and they decide to carry these new AMD processors ect , I am going to get one. Anyone here have bad experinces with northwest falcon?

I remember back in the day (maybe 5 years ago). When I was all hyped up buying MaximumPC mags only to realize I can easily just go on the internet for free and get the exact same info if not more than buying the magazine.

Nevertheless, I always remember MPC giving Falcon great reviews. So if they've maintained their standing they should still be kickass

Thanks Dam! Thats the kind of feedback that I want to hear. I just do not want to fork that kind of money on something out of my country and have issues....so I want to make the right choice here. Open to more opinions of course. Dan, so far, of late in researching the falcon tends to upgrade their stuff more then alienware does and have been getting better reviews but I just wanted second opinions and thirds and fourths and .....lol

Falcon Northwest is a good PC maker. I still subscribe to MPC, and every review for one of those Falcon PC's has always been good. Now we're talking Desktop PC reviews. I have not really heard of, nor read any lappy reviews. But if they are anything like their Desktop brethren, you can bet they'll run great.

I've never been a fan of Alienware. I've always felt it was more for the looks than performance.

Just my twocents tho

Alienware has been doing some cool stuff though of late with thier submit questions or comments and then posting them through a podcast every month or so. Nice to see people behind the machines. But, yes Dan I can't go through another nightmare with hardware. I did once and once was more then enough for me. Anways, I went to check out right now the falcon and yes they look great too but sad to see as of this moment they don't offer any AMD laptops like thier desktop counterparts. Hopefully, they will start testing these new AMD Turion processors out and have that as an option.

Compy, I am like you in that I certainly can read content online and enjoy that at no additional cost to me, other then what I pay for my which isnt very much because with a router ect I have a deal that the guy below me can use my internet ( I trust him), that he wont abuse this or do illegal stuff, very nice guy. Anyways, I have the extreme internet so he pays half. Great for both of us. Anyways back on topic, but I still like the feeling of looking through managzines with my hands and i love the scent. But i don't buy them, I just go to the library but of course then often you see pages ripped out ect.
