Wrong again Canuck. A well loved cat is every bit as close to their favorite person as any dog. I know from experience.

Me too.. my older cat named "Michael" plays fetch with me.. I would throw an elastic, 2L pop bottle cap or one of his spungy toy balls and he runs to get it and brings it back.. we can do that for a long time :)

ALL my cats sleep in my bed, cuddle with me.. play.. very affectionate etc.. I am attached to them all and they are attached to me.

Some people are not 'cat people'.. I know of this.. but what I do not know is why or how etc..

A little while ago a litter of kittens were found outside.. They were all found homes.. two went to a friend (bf) and two to a neighbors.. well my friend (bf) did an amazing job with his addition to the family but the neighbors have given them back to me so now I am finding homes for 5 new kittens plus two from the outdoor litter..

Anyway, I have two possible people who may take them or 1 or two from the new kittens.. I need to find them homes. I have 3 of my own and cannot have anymore. If anyone is interested please let me know.. I will provide a care package with each one (including the new kittens) brand new litter box, large jug of scoopable litter, scoop, bag of kitten chow, two cat dishes etc.

I just wanted to post pictures of my three cats :) Michael is 5 now, Gothy is 3 years old and Buddy is 3 years old.

I wish I didn't need home for any of the kittens.. I am so attached but that's how the story goes I am afraid :(

You have no idea what you're talking about...

I have 4 cats, and, believe me, they are all over me when I get home from work. When I watch tv and have my feet up, they all try to get dibs on laying on my lap.

Cats are lower maintenance than dogs. You don't have to take cats for walks to do their duty as you do dogs. Cats are more fastidious and independent than dogs, which, to some, may seem like they are more aloof, but trust me, they like nothing more than to curl up next to you and purr - but prefer to do it on their own time.

I've had both - cats and dogs, and each has its quirks.

While I love cats, I have a question for you. Why don't you get your cats fixed?

While I love cats, I have a question for you. Why don't you get your cats fixed?

Well.. it costs over $300 per female cat to get fixed PLUS $120 per female cats for boosters and shots.. and I just cannot afford it.. normally it wouldn't be a problem since they are both indoor ones (the male cat is fixed) but my neighborhood has a nasty habit of getting male kittens and abandoning them outside when they start to spray.. or female kittens they abandon when they get too loud in heat etc.. I feed them outside.. I just cannot stand knowing they are out there all alone with no real food etc.. having said that however, every so often a male cat (one in particular) sneaks in under my radar... I manage to get him in enough time.. but the last time not as quickly *smiling*.

I have enclosed a picture of the culprit LOL he's a sweetie but boy does he get around :)

I love waking up in the morning with them curled up close to me or under my chin and I love watching them wrestle and play around :) and they are sooo easy to litter train too :)

As I said before.. I play fetch with my eldest male cat Michael and I love it :)

Totally wrong. My cats sleep with me, meet me at the door. They know when I'm blue and snuggle up. A cat who is raised in a loving home is way more than just a pet, they're family.

Agreed.. just tonight I was doing my homework and got frustrated with something.. just when I plopped my head down on the table, one of the kittens came up and stroked my leg *laughing* then climbed up it onto my lap and snuggled into me.. cheered me right up :)

Although doggies can be trained quite well.. with kittens/cats.. it's almost instinctual :)

another thing is that cats are not as close to their owners as the dogs are!

The difference is dogs see themselves as subservient to humans while cats see us as just big cats... equals for the most part. I love dogs and they are fiercely loyal but cats can be the same way too when in a loving environment.

No question about it! My two girls are my "daughters" and I love them to death! My one cat has a purr like a Mac truck idling. It's like a special song she sings just for me.
