Hey everyone. I'm not sure if im just having a total brain fart or what, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to grab this video off the website. The website says they allow you to download the video clips so you can put them in powerpoint presentations or whatnot. It is just medical videoclips. What I think has happened, on the page that tells you how to download the video clips tells you to use the 'save target as' route, however i think that they updated the web page, and now the videos open up in a separate web page, thusly going to 'save target as' will only save the link to the video. However, when I play the video clips I can go back and forth on the timeline (once its fully loaded) which tells me that the video is stored locally somewhere while the page is open. Does anyone have any idea how I can grab this clip from the page?

Perhaps a link to the website may help. We might be able to pinpoint the source and help that way.

I did figure this much out. If you right click the videos and open in Real Player, at the top you click view and then source. It will give you the links as to where the rpm file is located. I would assume you can then save target as from there.

The movies have been recreated as RealPlayer streaming movies. Guess they better update their webpage info on how to save, as they have changed their presentation format for linking to each one. Tried both FireFox and IE - same thing. The only way I could see this being captured is with video capture software.
I would suggest contacting them about this new challenge before you go into any complex method of saving the videos.

It is clearer in Real Player, instead of the pulgin, but even through the source links the only thing that can saved is the link to the file - not the file itself.

The only solution there seems to be at this point is to have the website adminstrator fix the problem with saving the files. There is nothing any of us can do. This is their problem that needs fixing. Send them an email explaining the problem.

simple answer here.
in ie change this http://www.gastrolab.info/tv115.htm to http://www.gastrolab.info/tv115.rm this is done in the address bar.
it works in ff let the page load change the htm to rm it will ask you
to save to disk or play it. I have downloaded 3 of them and they
work.

Good one Ken_ver_1_5!
I didn't look to see if the two files names were similar.
