Has anyone got rogers PVR within the last 9 weeks. Just wondering what type of connections it has in the back. Does it have a rj45 or not?

Thanks everyone.

Which PVR are you asking about? The 8000, 8000HD, 8300 or 8300HD? And as for RJ45, no.

Exmortis,

Is there any way of copying the shows you have recorded over to pc on any of the PVR's mentioned?

There is an easy to attach a USB hard drive to add more space to your PVR, but nobody has been able to read that drive from a PC so far. The PVR has its own proprietary format and encryption. The drive doesn't even have a partition.

In the future (can't tell you when), transfer to/from digital devices will be possible via the firewire port, but HDCP encryption will be enforced and only devices that support HDCP will be able to talk to the box via firewire hence you can rule out the PC.

Correction, it's a SATA drive you can add... Not USB.
