Hi all;

During this morning's AVG scan this virus was found (see attachement) and couldn't be healed. I've moved it to the virus vault - done another scan of the infected folder, and have since come up clean.

However... i have a couple of questions.
What do i do with this file now that it's in the vault... can i just delete it?
Do i have to take any other steps? :hsh:

Thanks in advance for your help!

Love this board!

Your choice, leaving it in vault where it can't do any harm or just delete it. (it's doubtful you'd ever want to restore it)

It was only in the Java cache anyway... it's safe to delete anything from that folder anyway, so go ahead and empty out your Virus Vault

morethna likely it came from a web site you've visited recently

As Taz said... you pick it up just by surfing the web... :(

Now as long as you're not using Microsoft's Java VM and using only Sun's Java2 you're safe... it only is active in Java VM ;)
