help to set up dlink wireless for xbox

i have a dlink di524 wireless router sympatico high speed and xbox adapter the instructions from d link step 4 says in a box "please be sure to remove any existing PPPoE software installed on your computer" do they mean remove sympatico installed software. also should i use xp wireless setup wizard? and help would be most welcome

Yes, that would be the sympatico software - if you had it installed - xp generally uses its own version of pppoe. Not sure about the xp wireless setup wizard. I use cable and didn't use that - just the d-link configuration for the router, so that may be the way to go.

Oh prolly if you have any third party software installed like Rasppppoe or Access manager which you really dont need if your usuing windows xp.

As far as setting up your router just log into it and setup a PPPOE connection and just type in your user name and password sympatico gave you. I'm not exactley sure how D-Link works as I have a link sys so you may want to search their website for more info.
