Personally, I'd like to see him released into the general prison population so he can be silenced forever.

I can live with that, so long as they put him to work in the Woodshop, with all those skilsaws :vil:

That's a deal.....let him have his say, then put him in with the rest of the prisoners.
Let's see how they feel about what he has to say.

he should be banned from life.
I have to agree with that. If you intentionionally kill someone, say goodbye to your life. Capital punishment should be reinstated. Look at how many of taxpayers dollars are being spent on people in jail that have commited first degree murder. We could be spending that money elsewhere and be a richer country just from that one change alone. He should have gotten the death penalty in my eyes but the Canadian Justice System is too soft when it comes to making rules as far as those types of crimes are concerned.
Let him speak, it's not like it will change anyones opinion of him or anything. Then put him onto reality TV. On the next episode of The Running Man

After some difficulty, I said "Yes".
I think it would be more correct if the Media were banned from talking to him.
He is a non-person, and outside of clinical studies has nothing to say to society.

That's a good point considering the fact that media outlets would trip all over each other to get that prized 'exclusive' first interview.

i said no. it would be interesting to hear his thoughts on how karla was released and as to wether or not prison and seclusion has changed him. its not like his speaking will change what happens to him, the moron is still there for life. and if he would try to start sh*t with the media, put the guy back in his cell.

No - period. Let's not give him any limelight at all. Better kept in a basement dungeon with the rats and mushrooms.

Confession Concession
He’s the menace to society that simply won’t go away. But is he on the up and up or just seeking publicity?
That’s what police in the G.T.A. want to know, after schoolgirl killer Paul Bernardo hinted to authorities that he committed 17 sexual assaults they didn’t know about. That’s at least ten more than he supposedly confessed to last October.
The man who started out as the Scarborough Rapist and escalated to murder claims he carried out the heinous attacks between 1986 and 1991.
But true to his cunning nature, Bernardo has so far refused to tell cops enough specifics to let them fill in the blanks.
According to Peel Police Det. Sgt. Greg Knapton, the cagey killer talks about an attack he says he committed sometime in “spring or maybe fall 1986.”
But it’s such an uncertain date, it’s nearly impossible to trace it back.
Knapton hopes to meet with Bernardo’s lawyer next week to try and shed more light on the information.
"It's very general. I want specifics," the detective outlines. "It's very, very vague information."
Peel Police have had the additional information on their hands for the past month, after their Toronto counterparts looked it over and determined there weren’t enough grounds to lay any new charges against Canada’s most infamous prisoner.
But Peel probers are still intrigued by the revelations, concentrating particularly on a claim of an assault in Mississauga or Burlington in 1991. That was the same year that Bernardo kidnapped and killed Lesley Mahaffy in a late night encounter outside her Burlington home.
"I've already started an investigation on our end," Knapton confirms. "I think it's incumbent upon us."
Whatever cops find, it’s not likely to affect the criminal’s status.
Bernardo has been labeled a dangerous offender for abducting and killing both Mahaffy and Kristen French. The designation means he’ll likely never be let out of prison.
He disappeared from public view for years, but resurfaced last summer, when his cohort in crime, Karla Homolka, was released from prison after serving a controversial 12-year sentence.
Many critics are openly wondering if the egotistical Bernardo simply wanted to steal the spotlight from her and confessed to non-existent acts to get his name back in the media.

It's just a break in his normal boring day.
Throw him back in his hole and forget him.

Putting him in the general in the prisin general population works for me.
I wish this poll was titled "Should the media be banned from speaking about bernardo and get on with more important issues?"

Should he be banned from speaking to the media? Yes, of course.
Should he have to work hard enough to pay for what it costs to keep him every day? Yes, at a really cheap rate. That's better treatment than he gave to his victims (and their loved ones). He should never have a reason to smile, he doesn't deserve to smile or enjoy anything.
General population - yes!
Steven Truscott - no comparison. Bernardo made the tapes himself.

He should be allowed to speak to the media.
It's pathetic to hide from the horrors we create and are capable of being.
He shouldnt be rewarded in any way but he should be recognized.

The cruxt of the matter is in the questions that will be asked.
Let the media hit him hard, and if he doesn't like it, tough shirt.
