Hello my friends, if your a regular then you know we went down and came back .. half way ..

Well first of I can happyily say that I didn't do it.

But what did happen is we upgraded the Forum software to the newest version and it took out our portal, some with the theme set to the portal had issues. We had to work yesterday so Deb helped correct the forum access for everyone after work.

Now my thought is to make a change to the main page , and make it more helpful.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what would make this even a better place to hang out ?

Maybe slightly cleaner lines making it less busy, easier to find the videos for the newbies extra.

well since the site is about the computermechanics, how about putting up all of Winemaster's streaming encodes of your episodes (prefeably current season, since I seem to miss some eps)...

deb,les most people on here don't understand what is involved in running a room or forum,I do as I have ran rooms before and it's alot of work with it and your own line of business.Me I don't run any rooms anymore,no time,so deb ,les and all your mods thank you and keep it going guys

Thanks for all the work so far in getting the site back up and running again.

One thing I miss the most is being able to see the show. How about making the show available for streaming? :)

I was able to access the themes from the portal. Worked for me.

The themes are also "of the old versions" and may or may not work. There's alot to modify them to bring them up to snuff :)

I checked a half dozen of them, with the exception of a few place holders in obscure places, they worked fine. It all looks good for me. Thanks Deb.

where in portal do you find the themes?
or is it maybe only mods can see em?

When I log out they're gone, so perhaps it's just admins. I have avatar's as well (logged in)

I think you are doiing a great job Deb and Les.
I wonder what some folks want for free. :huu:
I have found the site and your programme on t.v. very helpful.
It would put me right off if I found folks complaining about this and that
.All these things take time and it is nice that we have these sort of people that do this, especially no charge for anything. No postage, no waiting for the mail man for an answer to something that is giving us bother.

Well I'm logged in. with IE I get a box with a red X for avatars, with Goggle Chrome I just get a blank box.

What browser are you using ?



EDIT Oh' I missed this " so perhaps it's just admins".

Must be just the lucky admins. I don't have ava's showing either. Not a big deal though. A least the text is showing :d

I would imagine that things will change over and over before all is said and done when Deb gets a chance to work on things..so perhaps we should just hold all the speculation for now.

The reason why most can't see the themes is that I have them all turned off. Now that Tess has quickly checked them, I'll turn them back on for all.

I was using mac os but topaz works just fine.
it still have the visited link highlite turned on.
works for me :)

Edit oh yes the avatars work here as well.

Yes .. New Legacy. Weird they don't. I thought NL would be the default style.

I'll try something different.

edit: switched to Clan and I see the "Go to last post function" works as well. :)

In "New Legacy", it still takes me back to the first post when I click on the arrow to see the most recent post in a thread :rrg:
