I am a longtime PC user who has learned how to fix my PC and where to get PC'c and parts at a good price. I have now discovered the advantages of the APPLE family and would likke to switch. Where can I get comparable info and discount stores for apple like MDG and DELL and the stores along College street are for PC's. Does anyone out there know where they are?

You would get more help if you put this in the Mac forum. :)

Not really.. no such thing as a 'Good price' when thinking Apple. ;)

Try buying used- quality used that is.

Most, but not all parts in a mac can be upgraded with off the shelf p.c. parts.
Students/teachers can enjoy a decent price break on new apple machines,

regular buyers do well when new models are coming out, the recent models drop in price.

What are you looking to do with this mac?

I'm very happy with my mac mini $640 - seems like a good price to me
