I have been looking for PCI Express Video Cards for the new AMD 64 3000 939 I plan to buy. So far, several people have recommended the Asus® Extreme EN6600GT/TD - GeForce™ 6600GT GPU w/128Mb DDR3 & PCI Express x16. However, after doing some research and reading many reviews, the Leadtek® WinFast® PX6600 GT TDH Extreme - Geforce™ 6600GT GPU w/128Mb DDR3 & PCI Express x16 has come to sound very appealing.

Does anyone have any comments about these cards, or suggestions as to which is superior?

Thanks in advance.

there will not be much difference as they will be using the same reference design, one may be clocked a bit higher or it will come bundled with games, maybe different warranty lengths but you probably won't see much if any difference in terms of performance.

They are the same, go with whichever you can get a better deal on.

Thanks for the comments. The main differences that I saw when reading the reviews were that the Leadtek ran a little quieter, cooler, and faster (since it's slightly overclocked). It was stated that the Asus held no true flaws, but also had nothing that made it stand out. The Leadtek model is $30 more at the store I will be buying from. But I figured it would probably be how you guys said; that neither would be significantly different than the other.

I don't think you have mentioned the price yet?

I would say go for the Leadtek. I trust them more as a video card manufacturer to begin with over Asus. Ultimatly, though, it's up to you ;)

Maybe just consider the looks of the card (PCB colour, HSF design, etc.) or how loud the fan is as your final judgment.

Oh, regarding price, the Asus is $224.99, and the Leadtek is $254.99.

And yeah, I think ultimately the Leadtek will be my choice. I'd say the $30 is worth all the little improvements.
