Anyone know anybody in the Ottawa area that is looking for a rabbit. I have a black and white 11 month old rabbit and can send pics if needed.

Thx

Sorry I can't help out Jillybean. When a youngster I used to have a few and still carry a scare from seperating two males battling over the females. May sister had one as a pet and tried training it like you would a dog but to no avail. She has a way with animals though.

Good luck in your placement and for those considering, a good relationship with your local produce man is a good thing or you can just rely on pellet feed.

She is no trouble at all - the trouble is our dog!! Now don't get me wrong they get along fine and all - but our dog REALLY can't sleep at night knowing she's around...wants to play with her and sniff her all the time. he spends HOURS just crying at her cage!

I'll check with them on Tuesday when they get back from a short cruise and PM you when I know.

Relax everyone. Just found out 'no rabbit required'. :)

Welsh Rarebit (Rabbit) Recipe

Welsh Rarebit, Rabbit or "Caws Pobi" gets its name quite literally from the words rare (meaning very lightly cooked) and bit (a small piece or portion). It is an ideal savoury snack. Try it for Sunday morning brunch with some freshly brewed coffee.

2 to 4 slices of bread
1½ cups of grated cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons of milk or beer
30 grams / 1 oz of butter
1 teaspoon of mustard
Pepper

Toast the slices of bread and grate 1½ cups of cheese. Arrange the cooked toast on a baking tray ready for grilling and spread with butter. Slowly melt the cheese and milk in a small saucepan. Then add the mustard and pepper. Stir continuously.

When thick and smooth, pour over each piece of toast and grill until golden brown.
