Personally I would have preferred to have seen something continue berween 3and 6

Also LOL at Richard Moore naming the communications officer Hoshi. I guess it was his idea of a joke.

Yes a gay affair with the communications officer of the Pegasus. Ron Moore will always have Star Trek on the brain (Hoshi was the communications officer on Enterprise) he has admitted that Six is really 7 of 9 but wasn't a deliberate when he was designing the character.
