LG 4600 junked

..I've only had the thing since Jan 05 and it has given me more grief than I can take . Lately it cuts off and will not respond, I keep getting the error message or a message on the screen that says Car Kit ! Then I know the phone is not responding to out or incoming calls...I would like to switch to another manufacturer.... any suggestions? I don't need a camera or video capabilility. Just a durable rock solid phone with 3-4 watt power booster add on for the truck. Thx

First off, take it back. It still should be under warranty since it isn't a year old yet. As for the power you want, that was only possible with the old sachel phones that you could hard wire to the vehicle. I don't know of any hand held available today that has that kind of power.

I use a Samsung phone, and it works just fine in the truck. It has the "Whisper Mode" where when activated it boosts the volume to the point where it almost hurts, but that is good since the old Frieghtshaker's 470 horses make lots of racket.

If it's over a month old, you will not be able to exchange for a different phone. You will however be able to get it repaired under warrenty. If it's unrepairable, you will recieve a refurbished phone.
