Is it possible to setup a DSL connection without any active phone?
I'm going to be moving fairly soon and I want DSL, but i don't want to get a phone line at all, since I just plan to use my cell phone.
How does this work? I know if you have Bell and you don't have a Bell phone you pay $5 extra, but can they even set it up with no phone at all?

No. You need an active phone line for DSL to even work. You can however have a non Bell phone number and Sympatico HSE this would be knowen as Naked DSL ( As an example)

DSL requires a physical telephone line - no option - it is "part and parcel" of the DSL technology.
As Swordfish mentioned, you can get NAKED DSL which is simply the live phone line without a telephone account. Not up on the details, but a call to Bell may clarify.

some dsl isp's give a service to costumers who do not have or want a voice service from the phone company.
the physical phone line wire has to be present.

I know a physical phone line will obviously be needed, what else would I plug the modem into.
I just don't want to have to pay for the voice if I don't ever plan on using it.
You can get dry dsl, so that means you don't need landline phone service. To order call 1-866-404-5744 and they will set you up.
