Chicken is better than sugar. Or rather a sugar fix.

Chicken i good protein that breaks down faster than red meet giving you quick energy that lasts. So in a pinch anything chicken may help. So better than candy bars for a fix.

Also the if a fat cycle, forget the exact details but the way the body handles fan when working out is you have the regular fat storage and also a fat cycle that replaces the fat tissue in the muscles. So if you time eating certain foods and workout times you get better results as this muscle fat is used to buff you.

Lots of fibre for breakfast, helps balance the digestion so helps you get your energy better. Kind of thought this was kind of funny but it works.

Substitution ,, eat your regular meats but bean chilli etc can up your up protein content without going all meat. Bean salad can be tasty.

Also do you want to cook your own food or buy packaged?

Chicken and tuna till you get sick of it.

I used to eat tuna straight out of the tin when I was in my serious bodybuilding days. Some people can't handle the taste. If not, add some salsa.

No really though, you can't eat chicken and tuna all the time. It's not so much what you eat, but what you don't eat. Just basically stay away from sugar and junk. BBQ that steak in the summer once in a while.

Unless you're training to be the next Mr. Olympia, don't drive yourself nuts over your diet. Keep it simple.

Make sure you take your aminos, and during Spring take some Hydroxycut (the American version, not Canadian) to look a little more shredded.

Oh, and don't do heavy squats your first day back. Your legs will feel like jelly that night and you won't be walking very well about 3 days later. LOL
