It has been a very long time since I last dual booted a system. I had once a triple boot. Anyway, I'm waiting for WD to RMA my drive and then I'll install Ubuntu on that 80 GB drive. The question is if I want to have both running dandy, who's boot loader do I use? Ubuntu's boot loader or XP's boot loader? From what I remember, I think I should use the linux boot loader since it will recognize the XP install. XP Pro is on the first hard drive and linux will be on the second drive whenever it gets back.

Found my answer. Linux bootloader it is. If there's anything that I might run into, let me know folks :).

Install Windows first and Ubuntu second will work fine.

Windows is already installed. Ubuntu will be installed on the second drive when it arrives.

Just to let you folks know, I'm typing this message from Ubuntu. Extremely quick install and have already learned a few things.

Personally love Ubuntu.. nice to surf fairly worry free eh? :) If you need any help, let me know.. will try to assist. I am by no means an Ubuntu guru, but have picked up some know-how in the last year. Good luck, and resist the lure of Windows. ;)

If you like the look of a taskbar at the bottom then Kubuntu might be good and it offers a stable version of KDE 4.1
