Hi fellow gamers! I am wondering if anyone here has the GTX 295 or even 285 card(s). I myself have a single 295 and am considering buying another one for a dual setup. I am very pleased with this card and runs much better then I even first thought that it would, however, I am just wondering if it is worth the extra cash to throw down on another card for more performance. Question is how much more performance would I would get out of a second card!! I am aware that I could simply overclock the card but I have never done that before! Thanks for the time reading this.

By the way, I have a very capable Power Supply, so that would certainly not be an issue for me if I were to add another card. But just in case, there may be possible issues I will post what I have.

Post your PC specs please...

If you're running a super high resolution monitor (anything 27" or higher), then you would benefit running a dual card 295 setup. Anything smaller and it's a waste of your money at this point.

I'm running triple SLI GTX 280's on a 24" monitor and it's complete overkill.

If you don't have at least a 30" high res LCD monitor, save your money and buy that first before you get a second 295... oh, and buy yourself a grilling plate, cuz those 295's will cook a steak on load...

Nice Specs/hardware!!!

If you have the cash, get the second 295, but don't expect double the performance, you will see an improvement but in my opinion not enuff to warrant a 6-700 dollar purchase. If you're happy with your current spec right now, leave it as is...

Thanks sir!!! I am awaiting my income tax return and thinking I will probably get it to max out my hardware, even if I do not really need it lol.

Getting a second card simply to boost performance, in my opinion, is a complete waste of money. As Compy says, your not going to get double the performance, so why bother? Very few games still take advantage of dual cards as of yet, most new ones that come out do, but I still think its a waste at this point. Just my opinion.

Yeah, and where are all these great PC games anyway, seems console games are better IMHO.

You guys have a point there. It seems that console games are really dominating the market these days. But I still use the PC for a lot of games as well, obviously lol , otherwise it would be a complete waste to have an extreme system if you do not bother gaming on it.

Network guy is right; SLI really isn't worth it. You *might* see a 30% improvement at most but that's only for games that are optimized for it which isn't very many. You get a much better bang for your buck by upgrading to a better video card.

Meh, not really. I enjoy tomb raider games on the PC more than i liek them on the 360.

Command and conquer games look and play alot better on the PC than on consoles.
PC has games consoles dont, like hellgate london.....kinda older but i really like it.

also some genres on PC you just dont get on consoles. Not to mention lots of free mods for games , as opposed to slim picking on consoles which you have to pay to get...

Dazed, I actually do not have a digital cam or web cam. In fact, I am not bothering to get either as I am not really a picture person but I notice others here have done so, so as soon as i get my iphone I will for sure. I will make a little scrap book with my tech toys. From what I understand about the iphone is it takes pictures very easily and is very good . Actually, I was going to start a thread on the iphone in the mac section but seeing as it came up here, if anyone wants to elaborate on the capabilities of the iphone regarding pics that would be great.
