success.

I open Update Manager it checks for updates finds then I click
on install updates put my password in. I gives me an error on
all the updates.

"an error occurred"

Failed to fetch the address then it says 404 not found."

it worked a month ago and no it don't.

The repositories may have been busy adding required files for Ubuntu 9.04.

Not running Ubuntu so I can't test it at the moment.

Just loaded Ubuntu 9.04 on my test machine. It updated a couple of programs without a problem.

Try:

System -> Administration-> Software Sources-> Change from Download server to ...other.

Pick a different server. Canda is listed there.

I am getting no joy....

I tried several canadian servers and still get nothing.
even did the test for best servers but I still have the same
problem.

Could any one suggest a working server?

Oh Damn it!

I am SOL because my version is EOL ( EOL April 18, 2009 )
What that means is my version is no longer supported.

This is most likely my problem.

Didn't seem I had this for long oh well time to install the latest version.
and go through the long process of setting up another system.

Unless there is another way of getting at least security updates?
