Yes I've done the google thing, but most of the advertised/reviewed mouses I've read talk about features and dpi and that's great. But nobody is talking about the life of these mice.

Now I haven't purchased a gaming mouse before, but I'm tired of replacing these mice because they stop working correctly, in my case the main click buttons no longer click properly because of "wear and tear".

Are gaming mouse designed to handle the number of clicks a normal gamer would put it through? The average desktop mice are not, I have 5 mices both brand new and refurbished to prove it.

I'm using these mice correctly, I'm not smashing away at the buttons out of anger or anything, they just stop working correctly after awhile.

Any suggestions on which one to get? I don't mind spending the extra dough to get something that will last. Or is buying a new mouse every year suppose to be the norm?

My MS mice have lasted for years, even with gaming. I got my newer one for $10.00, and my other original one is still in use. What brand are you wearing out?

I've tried a few mice and im happy with my Logitech G7. It takes a beating. I do game so the mouse gets atleast 5-6 hours of heavy use a day. My Logitech MX Revolution also holds up quite well in my studio. Most logitech mice have a 3 year warranty so you are covered just incase. Their RMA process is very smooth.

I have both the Razer Copperhead and the OCZ Equalizer. The Razer has been replaced once under warranty, the OCZ has not had so much as a hiccup and has outlasted the Razer by far.

Logitech G5. 4 years. One of the buttons got a little sticky, opened it up, cleaned the plastic contacts and works like new.

If you're replacing your mice every year becuase they are broken you're doing something wrong.

I would recommend the Logitcech G5 Corded. Razer make some good products as well and yes I have owned and used both. I find the G5 the easiest of any though with respect to the ease of increase on the fly sensitivity. The buttons are easy to reach and the sensitivity can be set with in the software for each setting.
