Lets say you had Rogers internet but not the cable service itself, what would happen if you took a cable splitter and split it between your tv and the modem? Would you get some channels?

if they haven't put a filter on the answer is yes.
not tech legal but were also talking about the same people for who charge you you a extra ten for not having cable.
charged for something you are not getting, man i am in the wrong bussness.

In theory there should be a filter on the line that blocks all TV channels.
And they don't chage an extra $10 a month if you don't have TV as well as internet anymore ;)
