Dark Side of The Moon, imho, is a masterpiece and certainly one of the greatest studio albums ever produced.
What is truly amazing for me, is the fact that they were able to reproduce all of those effects live. I've seen Pink Floyd live 4 times during their heyday, and they were incredible.
They took "sound" seriously" - both in the studio as well as live.
